I Just Lost 3 Clients

And A Great One Too

Growth Operating is all about partnering up with Creators and helping them make more money

And a couple months ago I got outreached by someone who claimed to be a Growth Operator looking for help

He seemed genuine enough, so I hopped on a call to help him out with his problems

It turned out, he wanted me to run his clients with him because he didn’t actually have any experience, and just leveraged his network to land some creators

It seemed a great deal, we would split the profit share, I would direct our team on what to do, and this new partner of mine would execute

1 week in, and things are going smoothly…

I’ve met each of the 3 clients, laid out a road map for what we’re going to do, and from my experience I can tell my shares of the profits should be sitting at around $20,000 a month

But then nothing happens…

This new partner fails to execute on any of our plans, and the creators begin to get a little annoyed

My new partner loses his cool, insults a creator, and loses us a client

Bollocks…

He’s young, and ambitious, so I chalk it up to a simple mistake

But the problems only get worse from there

Week 5 and a second client abandons us after my new partner fails to deliver anything, and constantly demands things from the creator

Only 1 client left, and this is where my new partner goes radio silent

No messages, no calls, no communication at all

Not with the client bear in mind, but with me!

At this point, it’s as clear as day what has happened

This new partner of mine has simply decided to ghost me, and keep the final creator all to himself

The only problem?

He partnered up with me because he doesn’t know what he’s doing at all

And I’ve been slowly watching from afar, as mistake upon mistake pile up, and the creator’s funnel continues to struggle

Honestly, I feel bad for the creator

He’s a nice guy

His only mistake was trusting this charismatic young entrepreneur

And that’s a mistake I made as well

But that’s the great thing about Growth Operating

Without direction from someone who actually knows what they’re doing (like myself)

It’s nigh on impossible to get things right

And creators are not omni-benevolent machines

Eventually they will drop these charlatan Growth Operators and begin working with a real one

I’m lucky that I’ve been doing this for so long

I can look at a funnel and instantly tell whether or not it will convert
